NEWS _ Yinchuan Biennale 2016 - Yinchuan, China

Urban_Songlines - For the first Yinchuan Biennale, curated by Bose Krishnamachari with participation of a.o. Ai Weiwei, Anish Kapoor and Yoko Ono that will take place September 9 - December 18 I'll create 048 Urban Songline, a site-specific performance using the concept of light & dark as a sedimentation of time and place.


2015 _ 032 Urban Songline (Excessive Machine) - 2nd Tbilisi Triennial - The score that is played by Doctor Durand Durand on the Excessive Machine in the movie Barbarella (1968) is made into physical notes that are reconfigured by local dancers forming new chords....  
2016 _ 039 Urban Songline (Panoptic Footnote) - Bucharest Biennale 7, Bucharest, Romania - For the Bucharest Biennale 7 I translated a composite image of the 360-degree view from the former fire-watchtower Foisurol de Foc in Bucharest into a billboard....
